Changelog
What shipped, in plain language.
One paragraph a release. What changed, and why it matters to somebody playing rather than somebody building. The engineering notes live in the repository, where they are useful and out of the way.
v0.9.7
26 Oct 2026
Paste a Sonderra link into a chat and there was nothing to look at: no picture, no title card, just a URL. Both addresses now unfurl with the mark and a line of their own — paper for the site, night for the game. And on an iPhone, one tap on Copy in the share sheet now copies one picture rather than two things.
v0.9.6
26 Oct 2026
0.9.5's splash put two lines of text on the same spot for half a second, which looked like a broken font rather than a crossfade. One line at a time now.
v0.9.5
26 Oct 2026
The card you sent to a friend was not quite the card you were looking at — and one press of the button could leave two copies of it behind. Both fixed. The splash, which is the only screen in the app allowed to take its time, now takes two and a half seconds instead of one.
v0.9.4
26 Oct 2026
The job panel said you had worked eight shifts on a five-shift contract, and it was right to be confusing — it was counting every paid hour you had ever put in. The city band you liked on the Life tab now opens your card as well, and the small underlined link that used to hide in the corner says what it does.
v0.9.3
26 Oct 2026
"Request access" on the site has not worked since the move to sonderra.online. Worse, when it did have somewhere to write, nobody could read it: the waiting list had no door on either side.
v0.9.2
26 Oct 2026
Four of the ten actions on the Life screen could not be taken, ever. They were the ones for sitting on a train, and they were being listed on the pavement. The rest now update the whole screen instead of only the top of it.
v0.9.1
26 Oct 2026
Two links in the footer went to pages that did not exist. They exist now, and they are short enough to actually read.
v0.9.0
26 Oct 2026
Sonderra has a home. sonderra.online is the front door and play.sonderra.online is the game — and every link, card, manifest and import inside the product now says so. The Life screen got a quieter, more readable top while the domain was settling in.
v0.8.3
26 Oct 2026
The night card actually looks like night now: stars, a moon, windows lit from inside, and a city name that never gets cut off.
v0.8.2
26 Oct 2026
Your card's skyline now keeps your hours: play late and the city on it is a night city, play early and it is dawn. Nothing changes in the game itself — the card just stopped being the same at noon and at two in the morning.
v0.8.1
26 Oct 2026
Your card now opens with where you are from, and the skyline above your name is drawn from your handle — so no two cards in the world are the same, even when two people live in the same city. Share it as a photo whenever you like.
v0.8.0
26 Oct 2026
You have a card now: your name, one line in your own words, and the numbers you actually earned, at a link you can send to anybody. The five-shift weekly limit is gone, so a free evening is yours to spend. And this page finally reads in plain language instead of our working notes.
v0.7.1
26 Oct 2026
The site now shows one plain paragraph about each release instead of our working notes. Same file, same honesty, less noise: a brief written for someone deciding whether to try the game.
v0.7.0
26 Oct 2026
Rice bought in Manila sells for four times as much in Hong Kong, and until this week the game would not let you sell it there. That is fixed. Flights stopped being dead time as well: four small things to do in your seat, paid in experience.
v0.6.0
26 Oct 2026
You can look inside the bag now. Every item says which cities will pay the most for it and what the fare costs to get there, so a trade run is a plan instead of a guess. Three keepsakes too, and none of them raise a single number.
v0.5.4
26 Oct 2026
This page reads our changelog now instead of describing it. It had been sitting on the same roadmap copy since we wrote it, which is how a site quietly starts lying to people.
v0.5.3
26 Oct 2026
Energy, cash and level move the moment you spend them, instead of waiting for a reload. A small bug with a loud symptom: a full day of work looked like it had not happened.
v0.5.2
26 Oct 2026
Founding a House tells you what you are missing before you tap, not after. If it needs a level or more money than you have, the screen names it.
v0.5.1
26 Oct 2026
Taking a job now says what you are doing rather than when the week starts, and the skyline on the World tab stopped fighting the text sitting on top of it.
v0.5.0
26 Oct 2026
Houses, jobs, and the subscription. Found or join a House of five and fill a shared back room. Apply for one job and be paid that city's wage. Sonderra+ is earnable at 25 Embers a level, because the other version of that is a game people resent.
v0.4.0
26 Oct 2026
Every place became somewhere: 688 cities with a character, a season, and things they make. Buy where a thing is made, carry it where it is not, and the difference is your living. Twenty slots to argue with.
v0.3.5
26 Oct 2026
The idea was right and the word was wrong. Collectives are Houses now, everywhere, including the old links people had saved.
v0.3.4
26 Oct 2026
The mark was turning grey at eighteen pixels, so its two paths are weighted a little heavier in the interface than in the 512px icon. Same drawing, tuned for the size it is read at.
v0.3.3
26 Oct 2026
One mark everywhere. The icon, the browser tab, the Home Screen, the site header and the mark inside the game are the same drawing now, from one source, so they cannot drift apart.
v0.3.2
26 Oct 2026
Small one. iOS reads its own meta tags for installed apps, so the game sends them alongside the standard manifest, once each instead of twice.
v0.3.0
26 Oct 2026
It installs. Add to Home Screen on iOS or Android and Sonderra opens full- screen, its own icon, no address bar. Android will not offer that without a service worker, so we shipped the smallest one that works.
v0.2.4
26 Oct 2026
The appearance switch says which way it is going. Two labelled options instead of a value that flips on tap.
v0.2.3
26 Oct 2026
Confirming who you are no longer means asking the auth server. The signature is checked in-process against a cached key set, which costs nothing and takes a round trip off every page.
v0.2.2
26 Oct 2026
No more waiting rooms. Tapping a tab used to leave the old screen sitting there while the next one loaded. The functions also moved to Singapore beside the database, and a screen makes one call instead of four.
v0.2.1
26 Oct 2026
Roughly ten times quicker, because our functions were in Virginia and the data was in Singapore. Rewards also arrive the way they should have from the start: prose first, then money, then experience.
v0.2.0
26 Oct 2026
Leaving. Three ways to move between 688 real cities (land, sea, air), priced in money and in minutes of your life. Also, nobody could pass level 1, which we found by playing it.
v0.1.0
26 Oct 2026
The skeleton, and it holds weight. Repository, design tokens, database schema, admin studio, two deployments, and one honest sentence about what is not here yet.
